Ellen is a Chicago-based producer, production manager, and sustainability consultant with 15 years of experience in film, theater, and live events. Where others saw waste and missed opportunity on set, she built systems; founding Ecofixr to bring practical, production-focused sustainability to the Illinois entertainment industry.
In addition to her producing work, Ellen oversaw a multi-million dollar Covid-19 testing facility for NBCUniversal across Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD — managing large-scale operations under strict compliance requirements while earning the trust of studio leadership, producers, and crew alike. That experience is the foundation of how Ecofixr operates: precise, dependable, and built for the pace of network productions.
Her work has been recognized by the Chicago Reader, and she has collaborated directly with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events | Chicago Film Office, Chicago Department of Environment, One Earth Collective, IFA Chicago, and others on sustainability and environmental advocacy programming.
Ellen is an active member of the Chicago Sustainability Task Force and Green the Bid, and has worked with clients including Sundance Institute x Chicago, Independent Film Exhibition Conference, and Filmscape Chicago.
